University of Ibadan (UI)

SAIDE supported UI during the second half of 2009 though to March 2010 in preparing the final version of the Educational Technology Strategy document and the accompanying project proposals and budgets for the funders’ considerations.

In February 2010 four delegates from Ibadan attended the SAIDE organized PHEA ETI Inter Institutional Workshop held at Wanderers Club, Johannesburg. It contained a number of sessions designed to support the implementation of PHEA ETI projects.

On the 14th and 15th April 2010, a SAIDE representative met with the project managers in Ibadan to help them develop implementation plans.

At the end of May 2010, a representative from Ibadan was also invited to attend the e-Learning Africa conference in Lusaka, Zambia.

On 7th June 2010 SAIDE organized an online presentation on ‘ICT Possibilities for HE’ using the Ellunimate platform to coincide with the UI ICT Awareness week. While the test session worked well the previous week, the actual presentation was marred by poor connectivity and technical glitches in the Elluminate platform.
