Kenyatta University

SAIDE has provided the following support services:
- Development of Research Methods Course Materials for Moodle and Creation of Chemistry and Communication Skills E-Learning Modules Workshop;
- Report on Comparison between Atutor and Moodle;
-

Sourcing of OERs for Projects 2, 3, and 4, both by completing detailed online searches for relevant content (as per curriculum requirements defined in projects) and by making requests to universities around the world;

- Review of baseline study tools for Project 2;
- Provision of commentary on draft policy on digitization and sharing of theses.

At the end of May 2010, a representative from Kenyatta University was also invited to attend the e-Learning Africa conference in Lusaka, Zambia.

A visit to the institution in March, 2010 suggested that all was on track, although the Institutional Lead unfortunately had been ill for several weeks. Despite having moved fastest with Part A of the PHEA ETI, Kenyatta University was unfortunately very slow to make progress in implementation of its projects.

In February 2010, five delegates from Kenyatta University attended the PHEA ETI Inter-Institutional Workshop held at Wanderers Club, Johannesburg.

Kenyatta University, in Kenya was visited during the month of May 2009 where the PHEA ETI was launched to the staff. Initially good progress was made and the institution was revisited in July when the education technology project proposals were be evaluated and refined.
