Paris, France - September 2-5, 2025 - UNESCO's flagship Digital Learning Week 2025 takes place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. This year's event, themed "AI and the future of education: Disruptions, dilemmas and directions", will bring together over 1,000 participants including 30 Ministers of Education, digital education leaders, policy-makers, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe.
Key Event Features
Digital Learning Week 2025 will pose critical questions about AI's role in education, exploring how to harness technology's potential responsibly while ensuring equitable access to quality education. The four-day event will feature ministerial panels, multistakeholder dialogues, parallel sessions, foresight workshops, and the launch of UNESCO-led knowledge products on AI and learning futures.
Monge Tlaka, Senior Project Manager at OER Africa, will contribute to the session "Open Educational Resources as digital public goods: Implementing the Dubai Declaration through AI and emerging technologies," bringing African perspectives to this global conversation.
Our participation builds on OER Africa's established partnerships with UNESCO and reflects our commitment to ensuring African voices contribute actively to global OER networks. All plenary sessions will be livestreamed in English and French for global accessibility.
