This tutorial arose out of a need during the pandemic to migrate existing higher education courses to blended learning and/or remote teaching. It covers the basics instructional design questions in a clear and concise fashion: Where to start, what students need to learn, how to offer student support, how to know if learning is taking place and how to ensure quality.

**Ideas for CPD interventions**  
This resource is a stand-alone interactive tutorial which could work for both independent study and/or facilitated cohort training. The approach is very pragmatic and raises the most important design questions.
