Case 4:
B. impaired fasting glycaemia
The glucose is 6.0 mmol/L. This would be normal for venous plasma measurement, but it is high for a venous blood measurement. Note that the normal range is lower on this graphic than those from the previous cases. This is an abnormally high fasting glucose level for a blood sample, but it is not high enough to be diagnostic for diabetes. What about the other end of the curve?
