Potential Solution
Tool / Process: PD Engagement Mapping Canvas – adapted from Nesta’s Collective Intelligence Design Playbook. Leaders use this canvas to plan and visualise how different stakeholder groups (academic, professional, support staff) can meaningfully participate in the design and implementation of professional development initiatives.
Core elements:
- Stakeholders & Roles: identify who needs to be involved and what perspectives or expertise they bring.
- Engagement Methods: select inclusive approaches (e.g., focus groups, design sprints, open forums, surveys).
- Shared Insights: capture challenges, motivations, and barriers to PD participation.
- Co-designed Actions: record concrete ideas emerging from dialogue and assign responsibilities for testing them.
